Time to celebrate the birth
of he who died for our salvation
with holidays and mirth
plus genocide and starvation

If there was a Jesus
he would be turning in his grave
to see the blackened hearts of those
whose souls he died to save

No pity for the mothers
whose aching arms embrace
the limp and broken bodies
of children wantonly erased

When it is time to meet your maker
what excuse could you provide
for allowing this to happen
with silence you abide
